Current opportunities

These are our current opportunities to get involved. Please get in touch if you’d like more details.

Legal Advisor

We’re seeking a lawyer to support the Board on legal matters, including agreements for land, power purchase and construction. You’ll help identify when specialist advice is needed.

Finance director

We’re looking for a qualified accountant to advise the Board on ACE’s finances as we prepare for a community share offer. You’ll help review financial information and support good governance.

Digital communications volunteer

Help us share updates across Facebook, LinkedIn, our website and email newsletters. This role suits someone with digital comms experience and an interest in community engagement.

Nature, Environment and Biodiversity Volunteer

Support our Biodiversity Net Gain work by helping understand local species, assisting with surveys and community updates. Ideal for someone with a passion for nature and local knowledge.

Data Analyst

Help ACE understand energy‑generation data, spot trends and support decision‑making. This role suits someone confident with spreadsheets, databases or data‑visualisation tools.

Stay connected

The simplest way to support the project is to stay informed. Sign up for updates and we’ll share news, events and opportunities to take part.

Here are some of the ways you might like to get involved now or in the future:

  • Becoming a volunteer director

We are looking for people with skills in finance, law, renewables or community engagement.

  • Becoming a member of the Community Benefit Society by buying a share

We look forward to sharing details with you once we have them.

  • Accessing a local solar tariff

This is how you could bring the local energy into your home or business.

These opportunities will be announced through our mailing list.

Local Electricity Supply Tariff

We intend to offer a local electricity tariff once the array is generating, depending on regulatory arrangements at the time. Acomb Community Energy will share clear, accurate information about how it works and how to access it in due course.
